African Global Skills Academy (AGSA) is inviting unemployed South African youth to apply for its Fast Food Services Learnership Programme 2026, offering a National Certificate and practical workplace experience.
About this opportunity
The AGSA Fast Food Services Learnership has been developed for young people who want to start a career in the restaurant, hospitality and food service industry.
This allows learners to understand how fast food businesses operate while developing the practical skills employers expect from entry-level employees.
By the end of the programme, successful learners will have completed an accredited qualification that can improve their chances of finding employment within restaurants, cafés, take-away outlets, catering companies and other hospitality businesses.

Responsibilities
- Developing practical knowledge in food preparation
- Providing quality customer service and handling customer orders
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
- Maintaining workplace cleanliness
- Following health and safety procedures
- Participating in daily restaurant operations and teamwork
Requirements
- Be a South African citizen
- Be unemployed
- Have completed Grade 12 (Matric)
- Be between 18 and 28 years old
- Be able to communicate in English
- Be willing to complete the full learnership programme
- Have a positive attitude and be eager to learn
