The Valterra Platinum Engineering Learnership Programme 2027 offers an opportunity to train in one of South Africa's largest mining companies. The programme is based at Amandelbult Mine and is aimed at unemployed South Africans who want to build a career in the engineering and mining industry.

Successful applicants will complete structured technical training while working towards a recognised artisan qualification. This is a good opportunity for young people who enjoy practical engineering work and want to develop skills that are in demand across the mining sector.

The Engineering Learnership Programme combines technical training with workplace experience in a mining environment. Learners are placed under the guidance of experienced artisans and supervisors while completing the requirements of the programme.

• Electrician
• Boilermaker
• Diesel Mechanic
• Fitter
• Instrumentation
• Rigger
• Millwright

• Be a South African citizen.
• Be unemployed.
• Have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate with the required Mathematics and Science subjects where applicable.
• Meet the minimum admission requirements for the engineering trade they are applying for.
• Be medically fit to work in the mining environment.
• Be willing to undergo assessments as part of the selection process.
